Get involved: together we stand stronger
The more neighbours join in, the more weight our voice carries with the municipality, politicians and the press. A few minutes of your time already helps.
Objections to the new noise rules can only be made until around 8 December 2026. So don't wait too long.
1. Sign up Fill in our short sign-up form. It lets us show how many households in Diemen are taking part, and keeps you up to date. It takes 1 minute (the form is in Dutch).
2. Share it with your neighbours Pass this website on through your neighbourhood app, WhatsApp or residents' association. Many neighbours don't know yet what is going on.
3. Let the municipality hear from you Email the alderman and the municipal council. Tell them what you notice of the aircraft noise, and point out the room for 80% more night-time noise over Diemen. A personal story makes an impression.
4. Keep track of what you notice Write down when the noise keeps you awake: date, time, street and weather. Or measure it yourself with an app such as Explane, or report it at vliegherrie.nl. Together, we build our own evidence.
5. Lend a hand Want to do more? We are looking for neighbours to take on a task, such as delivering flyers, writing texts or reaching out to organisations and the press. Say so in the form.
